What is eau de toilette?

Eau de Toilette (EdT)

Eau de Toilette is a type of fragrance with a lower concentration of perfume oils than Eau de Parfum (EdP) or Parfum. Generally, it contains between 5% and 15% perfume oil concentration.

Characteristics:

  • Scent Strength: Lighter and more delicate than other fragrance concentrations.
  • Longevity: Typically lasts for 2 to 4 hours.
  • Usage: Suitable for everyday wear, particularly in warmer weather or daytime, as the scent is not overpowering.
  • Price: Generally more affordable than Eau de Parfum or Parfum due to the lower concentration of perfume oils.

Composition:

The composition includes perfume oils dissolved in alcohol and water. The specific fragrance notes (top, middle, and base notes) determine the overall scent profile.

Application:

Apply to pulse points such as the wrists, neck, and behind the ears for optimal diffusion of the fragrance. Avoid rubbing the fragrance in, as this can break down the scent molecules and alter the scent.
